Grants Farm

We took the kids to Grants Farm to see all the animals and feed the goats. They were smart this year and fed the goats behind the fence. Last year they got trampled by the hungry goats. Madison also stayed clear of the llamas. She didn't want them to spit on her again this year. We had a lot fun!

Hiking

We went on a little hike this summer with cousins. Madison made a little scavenger hunt for everyone and they had so much fun. She wrote down a list of things to look for and they had to mark them off when they found them. They found everything but a frog and turtle. She is always trying to make things fun for everyone.

Gavin's Crossover

Gavin crossed over into boy scouts. He received his arrow of light and some other awards. He has really worked hard in scouting and did a great job.

Summer

We have had a lot of fun this summer. We have spent a lot of time at the pool and splash parks. It gets so hot and humid that there really isn't anything else to do. My kids love to swim and Dylan and Camryn are getting really good this year. I am hoping to get Madison signed up for swim team this year. She is getting pretty good with her strokes.

The Hulks

When we were shopping on Gavin's birthday the kids found these Hulk masks. Madison, Dylan, and Camryn just had to try them on. I thought they looked so funny!

Gavin's Birthday

Gavin turned 11 this month. He has changed so much this year. He is getting so tall and his feet are huge. Right before school ended he would tell me once a week that his clothes or his shoes weren't fitting. I was buying him new things left and right. He is such a great kid to have around. He is very helpful. He has improved so much in sports and really loves it. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't see him setting the timer in the kitchen to see how many sit ups he can do in a minute. He had a great birthday. Grandpa and Grandma Binks came the weekend before his birthday so we celebrated with them. Then we did some shopping and a movie on his birthday and the day after we had the family over for cake and ice cream. We loved celebrating with this birthday boy!

Glen Carbon Homecoming

We went to the parade and carnival for homecoming. The parade was so short this year but the kids still loaded up on candy. I forgot to bring bags for the kids to collect candy and necklaces. Luckily Rebecca had unused dog poop bags that the kids used. It was pretty funny. The kids all had fun on the carnival rides. Mark even went on the scrambler with Madison. I'm glad he does because those rides make me sick. There are no pictures of Gavin because he was with a friend. It was his first year hanging out with his friends there (sniff sniff). He is growing up.

Fun at Grandpa's and Grandma's house

The kids and I took a trip to Ohio. Mark got a new job with the church so he didn't have enough vacation time to join us. We had a lot of fun and met my family in Sandusky to stay at Kalahari. It's a hotel with an indoor water park. We had so much fun! After we drove to my parents house. We rode the horses, went to the movie, visited Amish country and just hung out. We always have so much fun when we go there.

Purina Farms

We took a trip to Purina Farms after school got out. It was a really neat place. It had animals to pet, a hay loft play area, a dog show, and a wagon ride. My kids begged for a pet for a week after we got back. We all tried the rope swing including me and it is a lot harder than it looks.

Preschool Graduation

Dylan and Camryn had preschool graduation. Even though they will be going to another year of preschool it was still fun to go to. Their teacher gave them each a certificate and talked about each one of them. Mrs. Weigand said that Dylan really enjoyed making his classmates laugh by being silly. She said Camryn will be a really good foreman someday because she always makes sure everyone is following the rules. Dylan and Camryn both had a great year and loved school!

Goshen Olympics

The kids had a water day the last week of school. They had lots of different stations for the kids to go to. They also had a big blow up water slide. I volunteered at the spray bottle tag station. The kids all had a great time!
