Snow

We had our first snowfall in January. The kids had so much fun playing outside making snowmen and having snowball fights.

Christmas at Grandpa and Grandma Hawk's

We spent the afternoon at Grandpa and Grandma Hawk's house. We had a yummy dinner and opened more presents. Anything the kids didn't get from Santa they got from grandparents. We had such a wonderful day with family!

Christmas Morning

We woke up at 6:00 on the dot thanks to Gavin. He was really up at 5:00 but was kind enough to stay in his room and watch a movie on his kindle fire. All the kids were so excited and could hardly contain themselves. Santa hid the bell on the Christmas tree and whoever found it got to open the first gift. Santa even left them a note and told them he was proud of them for being good, but reminded them not to fight with each other. We opened presents and believe it or not everyone got what they  wanted. Despite how unhappy Camryn looks in the picture she was so excited. Every time she opened a present she said "Oh Mom, this is just what I always wanted."

Gingerbread Houses

During Christmas break we invited our cousins over to make gingerbread houses. Everyone had so much fun and I tried to not be bothered with how sticky and messy it was.

Class Parties

I went to Dylan's, Camryn's, and Madison's class Christmas party. I was in charge of games for both classes so I didn't get many pictures. I did get one of Dylan and Camryn while they were singing a christmas songs. And I snapped one of Madison while she made her craft.

Santa

We saw Santa at the ward Christmas party this year. Dylan and Camryn sat on Santa's lap and told him what they wanted for Christmas. Gavin and Madison think they are too big to sit on his lap but they did pose next to him.

Dare Program

Gavin graduated the Dare program. They had to take a course, write an essay, and attend the program. They learned how to resist drugs. For his essay he wrote a letter to his brother and sisters explaining why they should never take drugs or use alcohol. He learned a lot and really enjoyed it.

Dylan and Camryn turn 4

Dylan and Camryn turned four this year. I say this every year but they are growing so fast! We had a combined birthday party with their cousin who was born the day before they were. We ate pizza, had cake and ice cream and opened presents. They had so much fun and are so easy to please!

Singing at the Nursing Home

Every year the elementary school kids go to a local nursing home to sing at Christmas. This year Dylan and Camryn joined in on the fun. The kids sang so well and the residents loved it!
