My first 5k

I ran my first 5k at the Glen Carbon Homecoming. This is a huge deal for me. I have always hated running and I used to fake injuries at softball practice just so I wouldn't have to run long distances. My goal was to run the whole thing and I did. It was so much fun and I am looking forward to running more. Gavin and Madison ran the 1 mile fun run and they did awesome too!

Fun at Grandpa's and Grandma's

We went to Ohio on vacation this year. We went to Kings Island Amusement Park, Hiking, Swimming, and horse riding. We had so much fun! I didn't take many pictures but I did get a few of us hanging out at grandpa's and grandma's.

Kansas City Temple Open House

We had the opportunity to go to the Kansas City Temple Open House. We drove there and back in the same day. It was a lot of driving but it was so worth it. My kids had such a neat experience being inside the temple. It was beautiful!

Gavin's Read and Run Marathon

Gavin did the read and run marathon this year. He had to read 26 books and run 26 miles. They ran the last mile together at school. He worked really hard and did really well on his mile run. He also worked really hard on the presidential fitness award this year. He got the award, but it was something that didn't come easy and he spent countless hours practicing his sit ups and push ups.

Madison's school program/ soccer

Madison's school program this year was about eating healthy and exercise. It was a really cute program and she had her first part. She did really well and was so cute singing all the songs. She has made some great friends this year. She loved first grade! She also played soccer again this year and is finally getting the hang of it.

Our little artist

Madison's art project was chosen to be displayed at the art show at Edwardsville High School. She drew a portrait of herself. She did such a good job and was so excited to see it displayed.

 

Easter

We really enjoyed Easter this year and went to our ward's annual easter egg hunt. I only got pictures of Dylan and Camryn because I can't keep up with Gavin and Madison anymore. They are die hard easter egg hunters. Pictures would just be a blur.

The One Snow Storm

We had an unusually warm winter this year so we had very few snow storms. The kids were very dissapointed. However we did get one snow storm and just enough snow to play in for a couple of hours before it melted.

Christmas Highlights

We had such a great Christmas this year. The month of December went by so fast! I went to Utah for a week for Katie's wedding and by the time I got home the kids were out of school and Christmas was here. We did plenty of fun activities and lots of baking. After Christmas we went to Ohio for Katie and Mike's open house. It was a great holiday filled with lots of time with family.

Dylan and Camryn turn three

These two cuties turned three this year! They are so much fun and keep us laughing all the time. This year Camryn requested pink cupcakes and Dylan requested blue. They are so easy to please. We sure love these two!
